Paul NolanPresident: Paul Nolan, Dawn Meats

Paul Nolan is Group Development Manager with Dawn Meats Group, with whom he has worked since 1985. A former President of IBEC South East, Waterpark Rugby Club and the Theatre Royal, he is currently a Quality Assurance Board Member with An Bord Bia and President of Waterford Chamber of Commerce. Paul has been very much involved with numerous events in Waterford City and County. These include the West Waterford Festival of Food, the Waterford Harvest Festival and the Waterford Tall Ships Races.

Before joining Dawn Meats, Paul worked in Saudi Arabia with Masstock, having previously worked for Bord Bia in London and in the family butchery business before that.







Kathryn Kiely

Deputy President: Kathryn Kiely , WIT

Kathryn Kiely is Head of Industry Services within the Office of Research, Innovation & Graduate Studies at Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT). In this role she has responsibility for overseeing the management and direction of the Institute’s support infrastructure for sponsored research and the technology transfer function in WIT. She plays a significant role in supporting the research community in WIT access EU, national and industry funding for research, promoting the Institute’s research expertise externally and in managing industry / academic research collaborations. She has been involved in stimulating enterprise development initiatives such as the South East Enterprise Platform Programme and is a member of the management team directing the ongoing development of the Institute’s ArcLabs Innovation Centre. Prior to joining WIT, Kathryn’s career involved working in a variety of executive and management roles in both the financial services and international consultancy sectors including Lombard & Ulster Bank and ESB International. Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from UCC and an MBS from the Smurfit School of Business in UCD. She has also participated in a number of the UK PRAXIS, AURIL and ASTP technology transfer training programmes. She is a Director of Waterford Chamber of Commerce and Glazik, a Waterford based process engineering supply company. Kathryn is also a member of the Monitoring Committee for the South East Action Plan for Jobs.



Jonathan Earl

Vice President: Jonathan Earl  B2B Communications

Jonathan Earl has 25 years experience in the media industry. He is founder of and partner at B2B Communications, a full service marketing company based in Waterford City. He has been active in Waterford Chamber since 1996 and currently represents Chambers Ireland on the Programme Monitoring Committee of the Ireland Wales programme 2014–2020. Jonathan is married to Karen Cheevers (partner at B2B Communications) and father to two children. He is a keen hockey player and also coaches hockey at a number of levels.








Ronan Brazil

Treasurer: Ronan Brazil - O’Sullivan Scanlon Brazil 

Ronan Brazil is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and in practice since 2001, Ronan gained invaluable experience in his years working in Banking, Accountancy and Investment businesses and adds a dynamic dimension to the firm. Ronan and his family are synonymous with Accountancy in Waterford with his grandfather Matthew Kevin Brazil and his father Donie Brazil the founding partners of MK Brazil. This firm was owned and run by his family from 1938 to the late 1990’s.

Ronan is also a Qualified Financial Advisor and combines this experience alongside his professional accountancy qualification to provide clients with valued expertise and assistance in all aspects of services provided by the firm, but with an emphasis on Audit, Charities, Financial Services, Food and Retail and Start-up companies. Ronan is involved in a number of voluntary organisations, including Treasurer of Waterford Chamber of Commerce and Waterford Rotary Club. Ronan is a keen sailor and also enjoys tennis, cycling and skiing when not looking after his house full of women (4 girls)!

Secretary: Teresa Jane O’Mahoney - BMCI Insurance & Investments

Teresa Jane started her career as an Insurance Broker in 1988.

Her area of expertise is in Liability, Property and Financial Risks. To date her roles have included responsibility for a wide range of commercial clients in most sectors of industry. She has extensive experience in the development and marketing of insurance products for commercial and broker clients alike.

For many years Teresa Jane has been very active as a representative of the wider insurance broking industry. She is currently an active member of the General Services Committee for the Irish Brokers Association.

For the past four years she has been an active member on the Board of Directors of Waterford Chamber of Commerce. Teresa Jane holds a Diploma in Insurance, is a Certified Insurance Practitioner and also recently graduated from St. Patrick's College Maynooth with a Certificate in Theology.

She is also a member of the Insurance Institute of Ireland and Chartered Insurance Institute. On a personal level she is a member of St. Paul's Gospel Praise & Worship Choir, Intonations Choir, Faithlegg Golf Club and enjoys walking and travelling.



Laurent Borla

Laurent Borla – Managing Director, Senantra Ltd.

Laurent Borla is Managing Director of Senantra Ltd., a consultancy company specialising in the interface between Engineering and Quality in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Senantra Ltd. also sources food supplements for European retailers. Laurent is French, but living in Ireland since 1993, he has been involved with Waterford Chamber of Commerce in various capacities including President since 2009.










Anne Marie Caulfield

Anne Marie Caulfield – Caulfield McCarthy Group, Caulfield’s SuperValu and Caulfield McCarthy Property Ltd.

Anne Marie Caulfield, owner and director of Caulfield McCarthy Group, Caulfield’s SuperValu and Caulfield McCarthy Property Ltd. is a graduate of NUI Galway where she obtained an honours Arts Degree and subsequently an honours Law Degree. Anne Marie later qualified as a solicitor in the UK where she practiced for a number of years. She obtained further qualifications in Management and Industrial Relations, Strategic Human Resources from the NCI and the IMI. Anne Marie is currently Chair of the Chamber’s Retail, Tourism & Hospitality Committee.







Maria Clifford

Maria Clifford - Director, Auctioneer, Liberty Blue Estate Agents

Winner of Networks Ireland Waterford Employee of the Year award 2017, Maria Clifford is a director of Liberty Blue Estate Agents and Bookaroom Property Letting and Management.

Since joining the company in 2004, Maria has gained extensive knowledge and expertise in property management. A fully licensed auctioneer, Maria has also been awarded a Diploma in Facility and Property Management and is a member of the Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers (IPAV)

Maria contributes to the business community in Waterford through her work with Waterford Chamber of Commerce, of which she is a director.

Acknowledged for her ability to make the buying, selling and letting processes a smooth and easy experience, Maria loves a challenge and has a proven track record in maximising opportunities for her clients.

Maria is an accomplished photographer in her personal time and has a great passion for the visual arts.

Travel is a big part of her life, as is exploring the great outdoors with her two children.



Danette Connolly

Danette Connolly – Director of Care, Home Instead Senior Care Waterford

Danette Connolly has been in business since 1999. Over this time she ran a Nursing Agency for 10 years and her current businesses are Home Instead Senior Care and The NAS Centre. Danette first qualified as a nurse in New Zealand and then gained post graduate qualifications in Nurse Management and Nurse Education in Australia. Danette has had a long standing commitment to promoting health awareness in the business community and amongst those who care for seniors. At present, she is Chairperson of Waterford Hospice Movement and on the Board of Respond Support









Tina Darrer

Tina Darrer - Dooley’s Hotel

Tina has over 20 years experience in the hospitality industry and is working alongside her sister in the family business, Dooley’s Hotel. Dooley’s is a third generation family business. Tina chairs the Events Committee of the Chamber where she has been a Board member since 2012. Tina is also a Board member of Diverse Campus Services, is a member of Irish Hotels Federation South East and is an active member of both Destination Waterford and Winterval (Waterford’s Christmas Festival). Tina is married with one daughter.









Neil Kennealy

Neil Kenneally - Cantec

Neil is a key member of the Sales team at Cantec Business Technology Ltd., bringing with him over 20 years of experience in Sales and Accounts' Management.

Prior to joining Cantec, Neil was a development officer with the IRFU and prior to this he successfully ran his own transport company for over 15 years.

This gives him a very keen understanding of what customers require.

He is entirely customer focused and places a very strong emphasis on building lasting relationships and maintaining customer satisfaction.

His massive interest in sport stems from the days when he played rugby with Waterpark RFC, where he now coaches at senior level.

A proud Waterford man, Neil lives in the city with his wife Andrea.

Orm Kenny – Solicitor

Orm was a co-founder and owner of the family business, Kenny Shipping, established in Waterford in 1993. Having successfully built the business over eight years, he sold it to Exel, then one of the top five multinational logistics companies, and subsequently managed its regional office until 2007 when he left to pursue his long standing interest in Law.  Orm trained as a Solicitor with Peter O’Connor & Son Solicitors where he remained until leaving private practice to pursue an opportunity in the property industry.  He has served as President of Waterford Chamber, as a Board member of the Theatre Royal and as a Council member and President of Waterford Rotary Club. He is also the Honorary Danish Consul to Waterford and a keen jazz musician.






Jacqui Kielthy

Jacqui Kielthy – General Manager, Fieldmaster

Although living in and from New Ross, Co. Wexford, Jacqui has been working with Fieldmaster Ltd. in Waterford close to 20 years. In her role as General Manager, Jacqui is responsible for overseeing all functions of the business from Sales & Marketing to Warehousing and Logistics. During her time in Fieldmaster Jacqui has continually developed her skills through on-going courses with Skillnet, IMI and most recently the ‘Advanced Business Programme’ with ISME.









David McCoy

David McCoy- Sales & Marketing Director at the House of Waterford Crystal

David is a Sales & Marketing professional, having qualified with a Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) and Masters in Business Administration (MBA). David is from Dublin and resides in Co. Kilkenny.

David has been working with Waterford Crystal since 2000 and is currently Sales & Marketing Director at the House of Waterford Crystal.

David takes an active role in Tourism & Leisure Marketing and is a Board Director of the Irish Tourism Industry Confederation (ITIC). 






Ciara OConnor

Ciara O’Connor - Tax Senior Manager, PricewaterhouseCoopers

Ciara is originally from Kerry but has been based in Waterford all her working life. She has over 13 years experience with PwC, providing a range of tax services to both local and international clients. Residing in Mullinavat, South Kilkenny, she is married with two children. Ciara has a keen interest in reading, fitness and getting involved in the local community. This is Ciara's second year on the Board and she is also involved in the Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Committee.

She has extensive experience in providing individuals and corporates with tax and wealth management services including tax compliance, estate planning and pension advice. She also regularly advises clients in the areas of Payroll Taxes, PAYE/PRSI and related issues.

Ciara is a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) with the Irish Tax Institute and a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) with the Life Insurance Association. She is also an active member of the Irish Tax Institute Regional Branch Network.





Michael ODwyer

Michael O’Dwyer Head of AIB: Waterford & Kilkenny

Hailing from Tipperary, Michael has had a long standing career in management with AIB Bank. Since moving to Waterford, he has worked as Branch Manager (2005-2011), Regional Director (2011-2016) and Head of AIB: Waterford & Kilkenny (2016-Present). He has been a Director of Waterford Chamber since 2007 and served as President during 2015-2016. He is married to Nuala and has two children.









Pam Pim

Pamela Pim - Head of Bank of Ireland for County Waterford

Pamela Pim is Head of Bank of Ireland, County Waterford. She has leadership responsibility for generating and promoting economic activity in Waterford across enterprise, community and branch banking.

Pamela has worked internationally in senior management positions across sales, marketing and channel management positions with Lenovo, IBM and Dell computers. She also worked with Cpl Resourcing Group. Prior to her appointment as Head of County, Pamela was Waterford City Manager for Bank of Ireland.

Pamela studied Business at Rathmines College of Further Education and holds a Certificate in Professional Advice from the Institute of Banking.

She is a Corporate Ambassador for Waterford Walls and a Director of Waterford Chamber of Commerce. Pamela is on the Marketing Committee for Newtown School and is a member of Waterford Rotary Club.

Pamela and her family lived in Australia for 15 years before returning to live in Waterford in 2013.




Tony Power

Tony Power – EHSS Manager, Bausch + Lomb

Tony Power was born in Waterford in 1969. Currently employed as EHSS Manager with Bausch + Lomb since 2010. Tony previously served for 12 years in the Irish Army and thereafter with Suir Engineering Ltd. for 10 years as Safety and Quality Manager. Tony has been a Chamber of Commerce Board Director since 2011 and is committed to the ongoing development and improvement of Waterford.









Kieran Walsh

Kieran Walsh - Editor and Managing Director, Munster Express

Kieran is with The Munster Express since 1984, is a Chamber member for the past 30 years and has been a Director for over six years. He is also a Committee member and Vice President of the Iverk Show, Waterford-Saint Herblain Town Twinning Committee, and Place of Sanctuary Waterford Committee.









Nora Widger

Nora Widger – Theatre Royal

Nora Widger – Commercial Director – Theatre Royal has been involved in business life in Waterford City and County for over 30 years having previously held senior positions with Bank of Ireland. Actively involved in the local community, she is a Board member of Waterford Chamber for 10 years – and currently chairs the Membership Committee of Chamber. Nora previously held the position of President of Waterford Chamber and President of Waterford Rotary Club she is keenly interested in the development and progress of Waterford her adopted city.
