Waterford Chamber and Appian Asset Management will host a Breakfast Briefing with former President of the European Union on Thursday, 22nd March in Dooley's Hotel at 7.30am.

Pat Cox will travel to Waterford directly from an EU summit, one year since the UK lodged its Article 50 intention to leave the EU and one year before that takes effect and will explore the topic of “Brexit countdown - one year on, one year to go - a mid-term evaluation.”


Appian Asset Management, which was established in 2003, is an investment management company providing investment services to private clients, charities and corporates. The company manages client funds in house across all asset classes through the Appian Unit Trust and Appian Investments ICAV.

The Company has built up a strong investment record over its 15 year history by protecting and growing client assets. It has a strong Board chaired by Eugene McCague, former Chairman of Arthur Cox Solicitors and which includes Pat Cox, the former President of the European Parliament and Tony McArdle, a former director of Ulster Bank.

Waterford Chamber and the team at the Solas Cancer Support Centre invite you to join them for a networking evening and learn more about the services that are provided to those affected by cancer, their families and carers in the South East. 

Come along and celebrate with the team, as they mark their 7th birthday and on the night Chair, Dr Brian Creedon will announce details on an exciting new project that the charity is undertaking.

The Centre does vital working by offering support services including counselling, relaxation therapies and group support services which are provided free of charge. The service is supported by over 80 volunteers and is entirely dependent on funding that comes from community donations and fundraising events.

Light refreshments will be served on night.

Ger Foley, Comerford Foley

A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ger has been a practising Chartered Accountant close to 20 years, spending the first 12 years of his career gaining valuable experience as an Audit Senior Manager in a Big 4 firm. Ger has also gained considerable experience in business planning and advisory including business start-ups and restructuring. He has worked with major international clients as well as local SMEs, sole traders and partnerships. In 2011 Ger formed Comerford Foley with Colin Comerford.

The ‘Ultimate Business After Hours’ event will bring together over 100 Waterford Chamber members with the main objective to network, generate sales leads and do business.

A full exhibitors list will be released two weeks in advance so you can make the most of the Expo experience.

Private meeting rooms are also available and appointments can be scheduled in advance should you require these facilities.

There is a limited number of exhibition stands available and these will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Exhibitors will be allocated enough space for two standard pop-ups and a pod table.
