Waterford Cultural Quarter Plan

WaterfordCulturalQuarterPlan2017What is the Waterford Cultural Quarter (WCQ) Plan

This draft document provides an outline plan for the proposed Waterford Cultural Quarter (WCQ). It is commissioned by Waterford City and County Council (WCCC) with a view to exploring the potential for a WCQ which will play a transformative role for the O’Connell St district of the city and for the capacity, confidence and sustainable growth of the cultural and creative sectors of the city and region.

In doing so, it will play a vital development role for Waterford city centre, nurturing and attracting distinctive cultural and creative production and generating a dynamic cultural life for the area that enhances the city’s retail and tourism offer.

NOTE: The Cultural Quarter Plan was be issued for public consultation on 10th October 2017. It is available in the Waterford Libraries and below.

There will be an open meeting and discussion in the WIT School of Architecture, The Granary, O’Connell Street, Waterford on the 18th of October 2017. Refreshments will be served.
