Waterford Christmas Tree Festival

Waterford Christmas Tree Festival

The Christmas Tree Festival is back

Christmas is coming, and Christ Church Cathedral invite you to take part in The Waterford Christmas Tree Festival in association with Winterval Individuals, schools, businesses, charities and shops are being asked to create a Christmas tree.

Last year we got a great response from the business community. People are still talking about the trees made with bicycle parts, pc boards, company fliers etc. There are a lot of creative people out there & it’s a good positive way to get your business talked about.

You can make your tree from socks or books, bottles or ties, your challenge is to be as creative as possible. The trees can be twelve inches to twelve feet tall, once they look like a tree and can be displayed during Winterval at Christ Church Cathedral.

Waterford Christmas Tree Festival will run from 6th-15th December 2019 with a wide range of Christmas Trees imaginatively created and decorated by local community groups, youth groups, schools, businesses, artist and craft groups & individuals. We encourage creativity & imagination.

Come visit or be inspired to create your own, Entry forms available at Christ Church Cathedral, Waterford Chamber offices or Email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

The Cathedral will be open for receipt and decorating of trees on Thursday 5th December 10am-7pm. Trees will be available for collection from 10am-2pm Monday 16th & Tuesday 17Th December.

Helpers will be at the Cathedral to assist in unloading your car. Exhibitors will have to park cars nearby as there is no onsite parking available (only disabled).

Each tree will be allocated a space which is determined by the size of the tree i.e. smaller trees will be on tables etc. and all trees must be properly balanced and standing in a stable manner.

As the event is in a church, no tree should contain any inappropriate displays and the committee has the right to refuse a tree that may not be suitable for the environs.
