Mulligans Pharmacy this morning has opened a rapid Covid-19 Antigen & Antibody Test Centre on the second floor above their pharmacy in Barronstrand St, Waterford in response to requests from many customers & families seeking assurance that it would be safe to return to their loved ones this Christmas.
This centre is ran by Medical Student Zoe Mulligan, Pharmacist JeanAnne Mulligan and Administrator Michael Mulligan.

Both tests cost €49.00 and are available only to customers without Covid symptoms.
The antigen test requires a nasal swab and the result is given within 15 minutes.
The antibody test requires a blood sample taken via finger prick. The result is given within 10 minutes.
You will receive your results via text message as waiting in the test centre is prohibited.

We will not be testing people in the following categories:
- Children under the age of 10;
- Those with current symptoms of COVID-19;
- Those with symptoms of COVID-19 in the past 14 days;
- Those who have had close contact with a confirmed case in the past 14 days;
- Those who have returned from international travel in the past 5 days (this applies to the antigen test only as it may be too early to detect an infection picked up on the journey home – government guidelines on self-isolation apply until a test can be carried out).
