Waterford Business Awards

WBA criteria 2020

Entries are now being accepted for the 2020 Waterford Business Awards. The awards are designed to recognize excellence in business across Waterford City & County and are organized by Waterford Chamber, in collaboration with Dungarvan & West Waterford Chamber, with support from Waterford City & County Council and WLR.

Launching the awards, Waterford Chamber President, Danette Connolly said, “We are now entering year seven of the Waterford Business Awards and while the easiest thing would be to hold off for a year in light of the current situation, we believe what better time to share some positivity and promote our local businesses.

“To reflect Covid-19, the awards ceremony will be moving online in February, but we can still guarantee a great night of celebration. We have reduced the number of categories for this year and we have also taken Covid-19 restrictions into account, so the awards are very much a reflection of the world we live in right now.”

Managing Director of WLR FM Des Whelan added: “WLR FM is delighted to partner with Waterford Chamber, Dungarvan & West Waterford Chamber, along with Waterford Council on the 2020 Business Awards initiative. I think it’s more important than ever to recognize excellence in local business and industry. It’s been a hugely disruptive year for business in Waterford and the awards are a very positive spotlight on the innovation and entrepreneurship we have in the City and County.”

What Our Members Say

“Tom Murphy Car Sales Ltd has been a member of Waterford Chamber of Commerce for over 25 years. It’s a membership that serves us well as we find it gives us a platform to interact with similar businesses and puts us in front of a wide audience. Having staged a number of very successful Chamber events, both at our dealership on the Cork Road and at venues chosen by the Chamber, it really puts into perspective the value of networking and meeting with potential customers face to face. We intend to continue the partnership between Waterford Chamber of Commerce and Tom Murphy Car Sales into the future, as the results speak for themselves and we see the value in being a member of Waterford Chamber.”
